Steven Whitworth
Mr. Whitworth is a licensed unlimited general contractor in NC/SC/TN/GA and Broker-in-Charge in NC/SC/TN/GA, as well as a NASCLA certified contractor with the option of building in 12 other states and the US Virgin Islands. After executing the sale of a Top 10 Charlotte homebuilder to a public homebuilder in 2015 and staying on to oversee system conversions and operational transitions from private firm to a public division, he chose to pursue his personal interest in commercial/multi-family/mixed-use development and construction. Prior to rejoining the construction industry in 2013, he served on the White House Advance Team for a previous President of the United States coordinating meetings, events and agencies both domestically and internationally. After his time with the federal government, he joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Leveraged Finance division of the investment bank, arranging and syndicating more than $13 billion in debt facilities for corporate and financial sponsor entities across a broad array of industries and financial purposes.

Tommy Price
Mr. Price oversees Marett’s construction efforts. With more than 45 years of experience in the construction industry, Mr. Price has successfully completed more than 300 projects across a broad spectrum of asset classes and end users. Recent projects include a 380k/sf apartment project in Nashville, TN, a 240k/sf apartment project in Raleigh, NC and 65 acres of mixed-use (MF/TH/Commercial) in Wake Forest, NC. Of the more than 300 development and construction projects in his career, spanning 3,000 square foot banks to almost 400,000 square foot schools and apartment projects, as well as industrial, office and retail buildings, Tommy revels in the analysis and field work of the process the most, not surprising given his engineering background. His diverse development and construction experience coupled with an expansive network of both municipal and trade connections is significant.

Ms. Steele, as Marett’s Office Manager, has more than 20 years of experience as a relationship, operations and closing professional for national and regional contractors. Coordinating with internal, field, bank, buyer, seller and third parties, while personally attending more than 3,000 real estate closings in her career, means Debbie is Marett’s in-house logistics extraordinaire. Mr. Ellis has 30+ years in the construction industry and spanning multiple disciplines that include: Specialty Subcontracting, Commercial, Municipal, Institutional, DOD and Multi-family. Mr. Ellis brings a potent blend of experience, integrity and proven project leadership skills to the Marett team. Mr. Peters is a project superintendent with Marett. With more than seven years of project coordination and logistics operations experience, ranging from federal and state public safety agencies, Fortune 500 corporations, and construction. Mr. Peters has a broad and flexible skill set that allows him to plug into and efficiently manage a project at both the macro and micro level while maintaining detail, budget, schedule, and morale.
Keith Fears

Mr. Fears is a project superintendent with more than 20 years of experience ranging from maintenance, upfits, greenfield construction along field and project management. Mr. Fears has extensive experience in both field and back office management, including bidding, budgets, scheduling, quality control and project close-out responsibilities, while cultivating and maintaining relationships important to project efficiency and completion.

Ms. Barr has an extensive history in the construction and real estate industry. While working in both professionally, she expanded her skillset to include operational and feasibility roles as well. This cumulative experience is now focused on sourcing and refining prospects for the Marett partner/developer rolodex, while accounting for individual capital and strategic partnership criteria, whether by market, product type or return expectations
